Layla Joshi

Layla Joshi has studied the organ since 2020 under the tutelage of Joel Krott at the First Presbyterian Church in Moorestown, NJ. She has been a pianist in the chamber music program at
Temple University’s Center for Gifted Young Musicians in Philadelphia, PA. A member of the American Guild of Organists, she has performed on organs throughout New Jersey, as well as in Hartford, CT, Bridgehampton, NY, Rochester, NY, and Laguna
Beach, CA. She made her subscription concert debut with the West Jersey Chamber Music Society in 2023. She won 3rd place in the 2023 L. Cameron Johnson Memorial Organ Competition for high school students in Storrs, CT, the 2024 David Dubois Organ Competition at Westminster Choir College, and the 2024 Columbia, SC AGO’s Young Organist Competition. She attended the summer organ academy at the Eastman School of Music in 2023 (studying with David Higgs and Nathan Laube) and will be attending the Interlochen Summer Organ Camp in 2024.
